What a gorgeous wee village with the windmill and beacon. I love these. Found trig quickly in woods across from house. Someone has tried to remove the plug. Loose screw on top but they can't remove the plug which seems stuck. Good. Cheers.

Few metres from roadside in strip of scrubby woodland at high point of Gay House Hill (Gay House on opp side road). Parking awkward, dropped car 300m further W and walked back. Pillar has original cap with indented lettering. It was loose, easily unscrewed, and was a tinsy bit tempted to bag it as a trophy, before decided to screw it back on as firmly as possible and left it like that. My collection of trigs does not include physical items! However, can see why these go missing, they are very weighty and must have good scrap value. RHD side sight hole open. No views.

Thought I had logged this years ago but it appears not so. Thus an opportunity to sample a vg lunch at the Bell, admire the windmill, and walk a 6ml circuit on a fab sunny, frosty afternoon. Trig easy to find at this time of year in light woods, which restrict the views (although a gap through to the SE offers a suggestion as to what it must have been like before the veg grew up). However, trig still has metal cap, deep letters; SW s/hole open and whole structure is green with lichen, but otherwise excellent condition.

Parked just up the road in field entrance and walked back along road to this one. Been here once before for a nearby geocache, before realising this trig pillar also doubled as a virtual geocache (YOSM416).

I parked in a field entrance a 100 yards or so east of the pillar and walked along the surprisingly busy rural lane. There are no access problems or fences to negotiate to reach the pillar which is only a few yards from the road. It’s grubby but complete with all it’s metalwork in place. Being surrounded by woodland, there are no views to speak of.

Just off the side of a road, hidden amongst the undergrowth. Easy to get to as a little trail reveals its location. Parking is problematic, best not to linger for long! The cottage nearby has an interesting name..

Would be much harder to find in summer months when the bracken has grown, but at this time of year I was able to park up on the nearby verge and found easily.

Trigpoint in good condition located in the thicket at the side of the road. Spider covered in heavy layer of moss. No real views but nice quite little village with lovely looking Post Mill overlooking the green. Ordnance Survey website shows computing year as 1938 and elevation at 120.69 metres (395.96 feet).

You can just about pull off the road opposite the entrance to the house opposit the trig. Walk west slightly and the trig is just in the wood (we went east and it took us five minutes and death by brambles to find it. Plug with heavily indented lettering.

Wow a bright "pink" pillar .. Well not bright but definatly pink. Its well shaded by tress, has some IVY growing up over one corner, Plug is still in place

Quite a battle with the trees to get to this one, and its trying to hide under ivy. Otherwise normal trig, still sporting its sunken lettering plug.

Waiting for winter was worth it as I spotted the pillar as I parked the car. It is only a few feet from the road, but once the vegetation grows it becomes invisible. The pillar is in good condition with the centre plug in place. There is some ivy growth on the faces of the pillar.

Got very close to the site of the pillar. However, it appears to be in woods or a field alongside the road. In either case I could find no way to get any closer. It may be worth trying again in the winter when the vegetation has died off.
