(3668) Parked across from the church in Cold Higham and walked down to the pillar. You can of course park quite a lot nearer. At the farm met with the landowner whom was happy for me to visit the pillar. Trig field very boggy around the entrance, but the rest was fine. Pillar in good condition and still sporting all its metalwork - centre cap with indented lettering. Walked back to car chatting with a local out walking his dog - the lovely Lilly. Pillar history: Built on the 28th of June 1953, at a cost of £17 17s 0d. Last maintained by the OS in November of 1986.

Heading north along the A5 missed the turning to south west at Pattishall. Next turning went to Grimscote. Aimed south for masts along narrow country road then east a short distance along access road to gate. From there on foot into field with long grass. Pillar came into view about two hundred metres to north east on field boundary. Good views to south. Spider and cap in place.

Had a day of trig bagging with Steve Pennock, Trudge & Tracey, based around visiting the one at Silverstone. This was the 3rd further day. Parked at the gate near the mast for the short walk to the pillar. Nothing much in the way of views but the pillar is in generally good condition and retains all the original metalwork.
