Good condition pillar. Easily accessed from the dull and ugly, but at least dry underfoot, wind turbine track. FB faces north-east-ish, south-east-ish sighthole open only, cap missing. Good views.

Walked up the Turbine Access track from Glendevon (even blagged a wee tour of the nearest Turbine) then short section of roughish terrain to trig. Good views of the Ochil Hills and also Craig Rossie

It's really hard to find much love for these wind turbines. The whoosh and whine certainly detract from the ambience. Up from Glendevon Country Park on the turbine track then short section of roughish terrain to trig. Pillar in good condition with FB in place but cap gone. Good views of the Ochil Hills it's just those turbines....

An easy walk in using the Green Knowe's Wind Farm track for most of way then a short section over some rougher terrain. Great views over in the direction of Crieff & Ben Chonzie before making my way over to the next trig point on Eastbow.

easy, pleasant walk from parking by Coulshill to NE No parking signs but given OK as long as no blocking of gates - obvious really

Fairly comfortable walk up along the wind farm's stony road. Eventually, the pillar can be seen in the distance as you thred your way through the twirling fans. Open cap, one sight-hole open, one pierced, and two closed. Scorching sun today; I need a hat!

Via Green Knowles wind farm road - easy access but hard underfoot and a horrible industrial scar on the landscape. Must have been beautifully remote at one time.

Easy route up road to Green Knowes Wind Farm windmill no 5 then short walk over the hill to trig. Great expanse of Ochils on view as with surrounding hills.

Started from S near Glendevon Castle and walked up the huge new Green Knowe windfarm road, which brings one to about 350m from trig. Rather circuitous, and ghastly, but easy.

Second visit. For photographs and GPS reading. The pillar is in good condition. Spider centre open. The flush bracket faces NNE, compass measurement 23°. Vented through SE sight hole. The wind turbines are up and running.

First visit. To record FB number. Pillar completed 21st August 1950 costing £10.14s.0d. Computed as secondary triangulation station NO02/22 within the Perth secondary block during 1951, and levelled to second class precision at the same time. This pillar station was last maintained by the Ordnance Survey in October 1971.
