(155) Situated at a crossroads, and very visible in the hedge. Verge is protected. The road itself was quiet, so managed to get parking just passed the junction. Slight damage to the top of the pillar - both to the front and the back. REVISIT: 7.6.20 In the area benchmarking, so stopped by again to get a GR. Pillar history: Built on the 26th of April 1950, at a cost of £10 19s 8d. Last maintained by the OS in February of 1981.

After doing a 10 mile circular walk from Tetford stopped off to visit the pillar. Note the road verges are protected for wildlife but a handy farm gateway to park in. Very discoloured (probably sap from the hedge/trees)

At crossroads, 1:50000 map suggests NW corner but it's at the SW one well surrounded by hedge growth. Views to the E.

This is well covered by the hedge at the side of the road. The base is on the ground not in it. As noted by others there is slight damage to top. GPS Coordinates: N 53° 15.968 W 000° 00.601 Geocache: GC57QJ8

Joint visit with Carole. Roadside pillar so no access problems. Soon found in hedgeline, would have been more difficult when in leaf. Has suferred some damage in the past, otherwise everything in good order.
