A nice easy bag just a short distance into an easily accessible field. The only problem is finding somewhere convenient to park. In the end I just pulled up on the side road (Park Ln) where it opened out a bit for two cars to pass and banked on it not being too busy. From there it is simply over the sturdy metal gate and up the field. Decent views including over to Lancaster's Ashton Memorial to the SW. Drove into Carnforth for a beer at The Snug micropub at the station afterwards.

27/29 for the day. A real surprisae this one. Just thought it would be an ordinary trig in an ordinary field with ordinary views. Infact the views are spectacular!! The site is worthy of a geocache!

Cap missing overwise OK. Do not argue with the name - the view is amzazing, especially in a northerly airstream late in the afternoon. Dales hills and Ward Stone in particular,as they were litup in red light, but a very fine view to the Lakes across Morecambe Bay as well. Scummers had just dumped building rubble in the nearby layby and I was questioned by a local if I knew anything, sadly not, it would be a pleasure to help convict such vermin.

Pillar sporting some white patches in rough grass with view over Intack Farm towards Carnforth where Steamtown had been visited earlier in the day. Not sure about the official name of this trig: it's near Green Hill House.
