Parked at the fisherman’s car park by the loch. Enjoyed the easy amble up the forestry road to a point nearest the trig. A short pull up through young trees saw me at the pillar. In a few years, this could be a problem. Good views especially to the north and east.

Parked NX 404607 (fishermans parking by lake), but could have driven on to end of public road (though no further as gate at entry to forest was padlocked). Pleasant walk up forest track then through small trees to pillar.

Drove forest road, Tilhill managed plantation, passed through an open gate... with chain/combo lock hanging. Parked at nearest pull-in (NX 3980 5953). Short hop across fairly easy old clear fell / new plantings. Pillar retains original centre cap, raised lettering; LHD side sight hole open, rear and LHD side plugs degrading. Some good views.
