From Co-op carpark in Ballachulish we set off up a good path past the school, turning R after a gate to climb Schoolhouse Ridge. I'm not fab with heights, but this was OK, good solid holds. To Sgorr Bhan and great ridge walk on to Sgorr Dhearg and Sgorr Dhonuill. Good path heading down W towards Sgorr Dhonuill West Top, from low point it was intermittent, with others having read the lay of the land similar to us in places. Lots of zigzagging through crags and lochans, but on short, dry, mossy grass. Continued to Creag Ghorm S Top and Creag Ghorm. Descent NE to mast using OS maps app at 25000. Crags shown really well and can be avoided with a little wiggling. Keep 200m W of direct route. Back on forest track and 1km roadside path. 22km, 1500m climb. To 2nd Munro much quicker than over 4 additional tops.

Followed the mapped roads to just south of the school at NN080577, over the gate and climbed west to the ridge of Beinn Bhan at NT067572. From there, it is a ridge walk via Sgorr Bhan to the summit of Sgorr Dhearg. The Vanessa pillar has been destroyed and there is no sign of either bolt, just the four long iron support rods. There are long views in all directions which include Jura, Islay, Colonsay, Mull, Ardnamurchan, Rhum, The Skye Cuillins, Ben Nevis and much more. Continued to bag the neighbouring Munro, Sgorr Dhonuill. Descended northwards from the bealach at NN047554. The path eventuially leads down to the forest track network, crosses the first track and meets a second track at NN047576. Followed that track back to the A82 at NN065586 where there is a pavement all the way back to Ballachulish. Panorama: https://www.360cities.net/image/sgorrdhearg

From car park 047587, forest roads to 049569, path thru forest, then went straight up grass and 100m of scree to meet ridge near summit. Down same way - great fun. Quick 2h bag after seeing Alan Lucker and Will Houghton finish the Charlie Ramsay Round earlier that morning, before heading home.
