Parked close to entrance to golf club. Went in pro shop to check it would be ok to go to the pillar. They were fine about that. Said watch out for golfers, quite a few about. Crossed road to course to north and headed along the footpath to begin with then after about fifty metres turned west and walked between the fairways of two holes but didn’t see pillar. Only after losing a little height and judged gone too far, turned back east and then soon spotted pillar in a clump of gorse. Quite well hidden. Cap missing, OS plaque in place. Good views away from the pillar.

Parked beside Teignmouth Golf Club entrance and crossed road onto golf course. Spoke to a golfer who pointed me in the right direction. TP is almost hidden by gorse near a large clump of trees between the greens. Very misty so no views.

Parked near the golf course and followed the footpath until I reached the other road. Had expected the pillar to be obvious but it wasn't. Back tracked and found it hidden in the gorse. Very overgrown at this time of the year and the bare legs didn't want to get any nearer than necessary!!!

Quick stop off en route back from Teignmouth and The Beacon. Easy stroll across the golf course (no play in progress). Exc condition; metal cap shallow lettering; NE sight hole closed, all others open. Some views of the coast but rather surrounded by gorse.

Buoyed with the success of finding the bolt at Haldon Car Park, this was very easy, being just off a public path across the golf course. Original plug with slightly indented letters. OS anti-vandal plaque. Concrete base exposed all round at grass level. N sighthole closed, others open. Good northerly views.

Seems the gorse has had a short back and sides! Pillar visible frm the road so wait for gap in golfers and follow (nearly) row to pillar.

Worth checking at the pro-shop out of courtesy, as you have to cross a fairway from the nearest public FP to get to this one. I've included a photo just to show the OS plaque. There are some cracking views of Teignmouth from the clubhouse (I've played this course), but not this morning, which was foggy! Far to gorsey (is that a word?) for me to log the FB in my shorts!

Pleasant pillar for all the reasons people like to play golf. It is a bit off the path, but I was careful not to disturb the golfers and it seemed no bother to stroll over, in my suit, to check it out.

This one is just a short distance off a public footpath over the golf course. I guess it's properly classifiable as unreachable, (as it is off the footpath): but on my visit I asked some people who were playing on the course and they didn't see a problem, so I photographed it. This is a primary, and it carried the OS notice about being part of the National GPS Network. Impressive views over Haldon, and this part of S Devon from anywhere on this bit of the countryside.
