Easy walk around the coastal path to this one. Absolutely gorgeous views in all directions of the Torridon hills and Loch Torridon.

Resident politely asked us not to park at West Lodge as delivery expected, so left the car a mile further west at the river brige and walked in via the coastl path... turned out to be a delightful walk through native woodland with views across the Loch.

Overall approach from southwest. Parked by main road alongside estate lodge at NG857541. Spoke to householder at lodge who appreciated being asked about parking and was very happy to welcome me. They have had recent problems with overnight campervan residents and the mess they have left but are always happy for walkers to park cars there while they enjoy the estate. Followed mapped track and path network to nearest point then shorth walk up through deep bracken to top. Pillar in good condition, has been repainted in the last few years. Spider retains original OS centre cap with raised large narrow letters. Flush bracket faces ESE, compass measurement 108°. Vented through right (NE) sight hole. Spectacular full 360° upward panoramic view to mountain ranges surrounding Upper Loch Torridon.

Gorgeous views of the Torridon Peaks and over Loch Torridon. A short heathery climb from the path around the headland.

Fresh white paint. Intact cap. Easy walk from delightful path round the headland. However, got drenched on that short climb by a sudden shower.

Mountains cooking up some nice sharp drenches of rain, hail, snow - done part of the track into the lochans and then for a relax this glorious little headland. Fine Scots Pine and birch.

Log #131. Parking available in front of West Lodge, then pass through two gates on way past house. Follow the track, then take the obvious path to left (gated). Pillar is in good condition, raised cap present. You can either take the heathery route to pillar from west, or the boggy route from the track to the south. Great views along Loch Shieldaig/Upper Loch Torridon. [ExP-118/MiP-2/Rev-1/BM-9/Other-1]

vgc, no cap or plug. summit of deep heather: the last few metres from the track quite an effort. Standard Hotine pillar, in common with S9420. Lovely location and view. Good tracks from SW. Roadside parking by lodge.
