An impressive structure with references on here of OS records stating some parts destroyed. A careful look at the structure from the ground or a study of the photos reveals the top section appears to be relatively knew. A check of the Internet confirms the tower was renovated for the millennium albeit OS records seem to be much earlier for their system being destroyed. Nice view from the base of the tower that I suspect would be significantly better from the top - hopefully I'll get to revisit at a time when the tower is open. Nice CBM.

Despite being listed here as an Intersected Stn, SK39/T11 is a Bolt, and is recorded as destroyed September 1971.

Three-sided tower with viewing gallery. Open Sundays between 2pm-5pm in season, with £2.50 being charged for a climb to the top.

Several previous visits to this odd edifice. It isn't in danger of falling over but was designed to look as though it is. A pity that some visitors need to carve their initials in the stonework. The other monuments in Wentworth Park are worth a visit.
