Visited during a howling hooley, couldn't hang around long for fear of being blown away (in the windy sense of the meaning!). Sadly the adjacent museum was closed.

Visited all available lighthouses in the area - except one inside the museum where the exhibition room was closed due to roof repairs.

Have always loved lighthouses and must return one day to visit the museum. Beautifully sunlit today, following a soaking hail/sleet shower - the first of a few soakings this afternoon - well it is April, I suppose.

The Museum of Lighthouses is excellent and includes a tour around the original lighthouse.

Great views along the coast from up here. The lighthouse was decommissioned in 1991 and replaced by a new automatic light next door. Its now operated as a heritage centre open to the public and there is a Lighthouse Museum adjacent.
