The walk up from car park was nice. Left path to reach the two bw fences either side of the track to dwellings. Could see from there with the pre sunrise sky. Good enough for me

Brechfa Forest parking area a short distance to the south and pillar in hay meadow next to track to farm. Two gates to choose from, one at either end of field. All very quiet during my visit and glad it stayed that way. Bought a dozen eggs from farms egg box on road side as I left. Felt like a good deal.

Easy one. Parked in car park and walked up the road to the track. Didn't go into field as the pillar is clearly visible from the track.

3/4 from Brechfa Forest Keeper’s Car Park. Up forestry roads to first trig at Mynydd Rhos Wen, across the common to Mynydd Rhos Y Corn, then down the road to Gwar-Allt. Asked permission at Gwarallt Barn, which was readily given. Also told us best way to get into field. Pillar sits at high point in well looked after meadow that had been recently mown. Pillar in good condition with spider and FB intact.

On post between track to buildings and gate to TP - 'Private. No Public Right of Way.' Then a shock as I got close to the pillar to find it in direct view of a caravan and a chainsaw suddenly starting up by it, so the last few metres approached very stealthily. Parked in Gwarallt: Brecha Forest car park five minutes walk down the road.

Another 4 AM Mid Wales covert trig visit. Remember some horses and coming in over the gate from the lane. Nice and quiet around here anyway so that was all good.

Parked at bottom of drive. A nice lady in a jeep pulled up and asked are you ok. We explained the trig and she said no problem and she would let the owner know. Soon found and then another hailstorm attacked us.

En route to TP at Mynydd Rhos y Corn from Brechfa, parked off-road a few metres from the bulldozed new entrance and walked up the stone road. TP in field sectioned with temp fencing into several paddocks, and containing many skittish young horses and mares. Didn't want to disturb them and couldn't find farmer, so bagged TP from 50m away.
