Parked in wide field entrance to WSW (SW 9861 4991). Pillar accessed from its N side, it sits high on a hedge bank. Original centre cap retained, deeply indented lettering; LHD side sight hole open. Good views

Stopping in Gorran Haven for a few nights away, bagged this one after a day out at the Lost Gardens. Easy enough parking at the gateway to the field. pop over the gate and round the corner to the trig.

It only lost a mark because the FB was on the face you can't easily get to. Through gate, over barbed wire fence and a good pull using a finger hold in the open view hole and top of the trig. This one's on a concrete plinth, too, like Gare. Still a noble TP with extensive views all around, particularly to the At Austell Granite mining area. Easily found too. Park in gateway, stand up and you see it to your right if you face north. Come on Nr if you're in Cornwall any bank, dyke fence is an "'edge"! 'Ansome one too, an aht?

I’d started the day’s walk at Truro, and, after already having to miss out on Grampound FBM due to lack of time, I was determined to make it up here at least. I entered the field through the gate, and so, from this side I wasn’t able to see the flush bracket, but could still lean over to touch the pillar. There were good views seaward and inland to the Cornish Alps, though I would imagine they would be more impressive from standing right on top of the pillar. I sat down a while on the nearby telegraph pole and then carried on, through St Austell and over to Roche.

Done while on a circular walk from St Austell. Sat on top of a plinth on top of a hedge just off the road. Beware there is a gate leading into the field which seems to lead to the trig but this rearview shows the plinth and not the face plate which is on the side nearest the road.

Bagged at the end of a horrible wet day - one of the wettest August days for years the local weatherman later said. TP on top of bank between fields and easily accessed via gate to sheep field to N, but FB on S side, so clambered up bank and leapt down into field to see it. Old tin mine nearby.

Staying in Lower Sticker so this was an evening walk. Easy approach on north side but flush bracket on south side and cut my hand on the barb wire fence getting it.

The pillar can be accessed via a field on its North side. Unfortunately the FB is on the South face and I wasn't able to access it on this occassion.

A pleasant spot within easy walking distance of nearby refreshment(!), and what could be more Cornish than the old tinmine nearby? I didn't bother snagging my trousers on the barbed wire for the FB.

In Cornwall we call dykes Hedges.Fairly easy access just be careful of the barbed wire.

Visible from the road on top of the dyke. The FB is facing the road so you have to climb over the dyke. Plug with heavily indented lettering.

The trig is in good condition. The trig is on a hedgerow close to a road with a gateway where you might park for a short time. The fields on either side are private land and the gateway should not be blocke. Right to Roam unlikely to be granted in this case.
