Urban area trig, nice views across Bath and surrounding countryside. Marked as slightly damaged due to graffiti but as it's in a city park I guess that's part of its character :)

Condition of pillar is good, although it's a shame its been covered with graffiti. Some excellent views from this spot, across the city and some the other way.

Parked on road to west of hill, busy road, tricky to park. The footpath through to the field and hill to the east was easy to miss. Walked past it once and nearly missed it a second time, looks more like someone’s driveway. Once onto the common headed uphill. Pillar just below summit to east of hilltop. Covered in graffiti. Otherwise in good condition. Views over residential area and city to south and east. Raised S prefix. Cap missing.

Attending the football at Twerton Park I had time in the bank so a chance to visit an Avon Pillar. Sadly this particular specimen was blighted by some pretty uninspiring graffiti, so I have deducted a point. Shame as the location commands wideranging views.

Twerton Hill Nice location. Shame about the graffiti.

Graffiti-ed pillar with a cheeky mural on one side. Very easily accessed as it's on a hill in the middle of a park beside a housing estate.

Arrived by train in Oldfield and wandered around the area a bit, even popping in for a haircut at the barbers before coming up to this little hill. Fine views into the town and a bench on the other side giving good views over the countryside.

I did have plans to see if i could do more TP around Bath but my legs are telling me "no". So I bagged this one on the way to the Bristol to Bath Cycle way. this TP is on the top of a hillock in a park on the edge of Bath. It has been paint white and has quite a lot of "tagging" on it by kids, I expect. Nice views over Bath.

Flush Bracket No "S" in the front. First 4 digit number with out the S i have seen
TP with my bike in front of it.

Parked in garden centre car park W of trig, across the road. Gap in hedge allowed access to hill, otherwise not a good place to park. Short climb up to hill top. Trig in a sorry state hence classifying it 'slightly damaged'. Cap missing no plug, centre hole filled with rubbish; all sight holes open; covered in grafitti, white paint job looking very sad, also some additional blue spay paint been added - or is it an old coat of paint showing through?; all 4 loops missing. Definitely not a 'good'. Popular spot for locals, several of them on the hill, had to wait in line to get photos. Views to NE over Bath

Parked in Wedmore Park and walked into open area and up to the summit of the hill to find the white pillar. Great views over Bath and the surrounding hills. Pillar has flaking white paint and scratched graffiti. Plug/cap missing, FB faces NE, all sightholes open.

A belated first trig of 2011. Quick climb up from road to SW. Flaking white paint over previous blue. Plug gone, with some rather choice grafitti. Would be a fine viewpoint over Bath on a good day; grey and raining on my visit.

Easy access from Mount Road in the Southdown suburb of Bath. The pillar is a bit battered and still covered in multi-coloured graffiti but offers reasonable views of the city centre.
