Built to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria, the Chapel was a gift to Giggleswick School from Walter Morrison of Malham. It took four years to build and opened in 1901. The Chapel is a Grade 2 listed building. It dominates the surrounding countryside and can be seen from miles around. I viewed it from Craven Bank Lane.

An iconic building, beautiful inside and out. I remember the copper roof as a very distinctive green ,when I worked near Settle in the early 80s. So distinctive that the Luftwaffe allegedly used it as a point of navigation on their way to bomb Liverpool. Also in WW2 my father in law went to school here, so it was an important building for him.
